about the great news network

Keeping Hope Alive

"So many people I talk to feel powerless in their ability to make the world better by responding to the problems that need to be addressed with positive action. I believe that part of the reason is because they look around and don't see enough people in their lives or those shown in mainstream media stepping up to the plate and doing good.

What's is so especially important in this world is to realize that everyone one of us needs to do their part in order for positive change to happen. Even if that part is to influence something bigger then oneself to take action - like, for example, a government body that is capable of creating massive change through legislation.

The Great News Network exists to provide that vital piece to the individual - stories of advancements in science, medicine, human rights, education, global peace and the environment that's happening here and now. It's time to get inspired."
- Ryan Logtenberg, founder

The Great News Network was founded in October 2003. Its objective is to become a respected news organization that reports positive news which has the potential to inspire and motivate its readers to take action to make a better world. The network is run by its members who actively mine the internet for positive news articles. To find out how to contribute news stories, click here.

The Great News Network also runs the Great News Wire, a news site that features press releases about positive developments in science, medicine, human rights, education, global peace and the environment.
