A record 39 new North Atlantic right whale calves have been spotted in winter nursery waters

A record 39 new North Atlantic right whale calves have been spotted in the winter nursery waters off the southeastern U.S.

Once thought to be possibly extinct, there are now just over 400 North Atlantic right whales.
