A sporting victory for equal rights
A few days ago the runner made history as one of two women named in the Saudi Olympic team.
Saudi Arabia was the sole remaining country to have never accepted women on its team after the other two holdouts, Qatar and Brunei, came to the party.
With gender-equality bragging rights awarded to London, International Olympic Committee boss Jacques Rogge was beside himself.
