Akunyili donates cash award to lepers

Ibadan, Nigeria - Winner of the 2005 Silverbird Television Man of the Year award, Professor (Mrs) Dora Akunyili, has donated her prize money for the award, the sum of N1 million to the community of people living with leprosy in Nigeria.

The donated cash would be shared among six settlements housing sufferers of leprosy located in Borno, Enugu, Ondo, Kano, Cross River and Kogi States.
