All affected families entitled to rehabilitation: apex court
New Delhi - The Supreme Court Tuesday came to the rescue of thousands of people displaced by the Sardar Sarovar dam, saying even temporarily affected families were eligible for rehabilitation.
A three-judge bench said even temporary project affected families (PAFs) were entitled to alternative cultivable land if they were hit because of the increase in the height of the Sardar Sarovar dam on the Narmada river.
