Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Donate $100,000 to Support Clinic in Southern Sudan

Duk County, Sudan - Direct Change, an organization that builds grassroots financial support for community based African projects, announced it has received a $100,000 donation from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's Jolie-Pitt Foundation to support the final construction and ongoing operations for the first modern medical facility in Duk County, Sudan.

Inspired by the film and Dau's memoir with the same title, more than 100 volunteer fundraisers have created their own campaigns which have raised more than $340,000 for the construction and initial operating costs for the Clinic.
