Australia charges five over toothfish poaching

Canberra, Australia - Five crew members of a boat seized in remote Australian fishing waters have been charged with illegal fishing, Australian authorities said on Monday.

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority said it had charged the Uruguayan skipper, the Spanish chief mate, and three Chilean crew members of the Uruguayan-flagged Maya V with illegally poaching the rare Patagonian toothfish.
