Ballard powered buses ‘to be on British Columbia roads in 2009’

Whistler, British Columbia, Canada - Ballard Power Systems has announced that BC Transit has selected Ballard fuel cells to power up to 20 fuel cell buses in a fleet that will roll onto British Columbia roads by the end of 2009.

The delivery is divided into two phases: phase one is for delivery of one bus for evaluation in 2008; phase two is for delivery of up to 19 buses in 2009.
