Brazilian police cut wood-poaching scam |
Brasilia, Brazil - Police felled a wood-poaching scheme in one of Brazil's vast jungles and arrest warrants have been issued for 129 suspects, officials said Thursday.
The ministers of justice and the environment, Marcio Thomaz Bastos and Marina Silva, told reporters the group sold falsified licenses for 860 dollars to authorize logging on public lands in the state of Mato Grosso.
