Cancer patient wins NHS drug appeal

A woman with a rare form of cancer has won her appeal to be provided with a life-prolonging drug on the NHS.

But in an astonishing U-Turn, the authority now says it will pay for the drug. It will also reimburse the 37-year-old for the £9,000 she had paid for private prescriptions.
