China: Efforts to Cool Economy Working
Washington D.C. - The head of China's central bank said on Sunday Beijing's efforts to curb excessive credit growth were bearing fruit, increasing chances the country's booming economy would achieve a "soft landing."
"China's macroeconomic management measures have played an important role in lowering credit and investment growth, leading to brighter prospects for a soft landing," Zhou Xiaochuan told a meeting of top finance officials here.
