Congestion cut makes Stockholm greener
"Reducing traffic volumes, decreasing CO2 emissions and improving accessibility is bringing significant benefits to the city, its visitors, and residents and has been a factor in Stockholm being awarded European Green Capital for 2010."

A major initiative introduced in Stockholm has helped to boost the city's green credentials as well as cut traffic.
In addition, the number of green, tax-exempt vehicles on roads in the city has almost tripled, while the amount of commuters choosing to use public transport has increased by seven per cent.
