Double amputee inspires fellow triathletes at Ironman
"Did the first loop in 44 minutes, finished the swim in 1:32."
- Scott Rigsby, triathlete
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, USA - Scott Rigsby, the Georgia man who tried to become the first double amputee to ever compete in an Ironman on prosthetics, says his goal was breaking down barriers and inspiring others to look outside themselves.
Scott will be back in Coeur d'Alene to race in an Olympic distance triathlon in august and then he's off to the Ironman race in Kona, Hawaii on October 13th.
