Downpours aid battle against Indonesia fires |
Singapore - Heavy rains over the weekend provided what officials said Sunday could be the decisive blow in a three-nation battle to extinguish forest fires on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
After blanketing much of Southeast Asia in a noxious haze for three weeks, many of the fires reportedly succumbed to the long-awaited downpour.
