Egypt Parliament Confirms Change in Presidential Rules

Cairo, Egypt - The Parliament in Egypt has confirmed a constitutional amendment allowing more than one candidates to participate in the presidential elections.

Mubarak made an unexpected announcement saying that direct elections instead of the popular vote of a single candidate, which is the current process, will be adapted.
