Fashion Made From Feathers? UNL Gives It A Try

Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - From the farmyard to the fashion house, some University of Nebraska-Lincoln researchers are taking unusable agricultural byproducts and spinning them into cloth.

Yang and fellow researcher Nahrendra Reddy have already made cloth out of rice straw, and a sweater from cornhusks. The goal is to take byproducts that farmers throw away and make them into useful items.
