Firefighters Bring Blaze Under Control in Chile Park |
Santiago, Chile - A wildfire in Chile's most famous national park, Torres del Paine in Patagonia, is mostly under control after a week in which it burned more than 55 square miles, the forestry service said on Friday.
"The outlook is a lot more positive. It has been raining at night and most importantly the wind has died down," Claudio Perez, spokesman for the National Forestry Corporation, or government forest service, told Reuters.
