Firefighters Growing Hopeful Worst Is Over in California |
California - Fire officials monitoring conditions in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles, one of the most intense battlegrounds in the relentless Southern California fires, said today that no homes had been destroyed on Thursday, the first time that they could report no new losses since the fires began on Oct. 21.
