Flooding fears ease off in southern Alberta

Medicine Hat, Alberta - Surging flood waters in the South Saskatchewan River finally peaked Friday, easing fears of flooding for residents of Medicine Hat in southern Alberta.

Notices of possible evacuations had been delivered to 250 homes on Thursday night. But in the end no one ended up having to leave, as the peak in Medicine Hat occurred earlier than expected.
