Chicago,USA(1893) & INDIA - Forgotten Great Indian Legend - Jain scholar: Virchand Raghav Gandhi(VRG) (August 25, 1864-August7,1901)represented Jains in first ever World Parliament of Religions in Chicago,USA in 1893 & won Silver Medal.

One of the American newspaper wrote regarding Virchand Raghav Gandhi's (speech at First ever World religions Parliament,1893),“of all Eastern scholars, it was this youth whose lectures on Jain Faith and Conduct was listened to with the greatest interest and attention. In Kasadova, he delivered a lecture on 'Some mistakes corrected' on August 8, 1894, the citizens of this city awarded him a gold medal.The newspaper, 'Buffalo Courier', recorded the immense success of that lecture.
