Got breast milk? New state law celebrated
"I'm not a confrontational person, but I wanted to bring attention to the new law,"
- Kelly Kelley
Birmingham, AL - A handful of mothers who nursed their babies Saturday at Colonial Brookwood Village said they were celebrating a new state law that protects a woman's right to breast-feed in public.
The law took effect Saturday, and Kelley handed out badges to the other mothers that said, "Got Breastmilk? Alabama does!" Her 8 1/2-month-old daughter wore a shirt that said, "Breastmilk, the real comfort proteins."
