Gov. Richardson Targets Rocketing Child Obesity Rates

Santa Fe, NM - In an effort to fight childhood obesity, New Mexico's Public Education Department has granted dozens of schools around the state $1.4 million to increase physical education programs.

One of the ways it plans to do this is to get the kids to be more active, and it aims to show kids just how important it is to stay active throughout their lives.
