Government Moves to Protect Whistleblowers

Ottawa, Canada - In the wake of the federal sponsorship scandal, the Liberal government has introduced "whistleblower" protection legislation.

Public Service Minister Denis Codere says the law will redefine the relationship between politicians and civil servants. It establishes a code of conduct for government employees and defines wrongdoing.
