GPS-Galileo pact will create more accurate satnav
The US and the EU are close to an agreement that would allow their satellite-navigation systems to work together for greater accuracy
Under the agreement, which the US says could be signed this week, EU and US satellites would send information on the same radio frequency, enabling receivers to pick up signals from both systems and combine the data.
