Highway hero honored

Bryan Jacobs was on his way to a quick lunch at McDonald’s on Jan. 11 when a Chevrolet Blazer in the outside lane of Interstate 35E suddenly veered across his lane in front of him and struck the concrete median barrier.

Jacobs had never been instructed on pulling in front of an out-of-control vehicle and gradually slowing until both of them stopped ... But that’s what he did with his company pickup.
