Hong Kong tourism has a bright January
Hong Kong - Hong Kong tourist arrivals in January rose 13.1% compared with a year earlier to 1.75 million, the Hong Kong Tourism Board said Monday.
The board said it expects tourist numbers to rise 31.8% year-on-year to 20.5 million in 2004, with China remaining the leading contributor.
Tourist arrivals in 2003 stood at 15.54 million, down 6.2% from 2002.
