Husky plans second large Canadian ethanol plant

Winnipeg, Manitoba - Husky Energy Inc. hopes to expand a small ethanol plant in Manitoba to make it of equal size to a large, new plant it is building on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border, Chief Executive John Lau said on Thursday.

Ethanol, made from grain or other plant sources, reduces greenhouse gas pollutants because the plants absorb carbon dioxide as they grow.
