India and Pakistani armies agree ceasefire |
New Dehli - The armies of India and Pakistan have agreed to observe a ceasefire in Kashmir from midnight local time, the foreign ministry says.
It said in a statement on Tuesday that the director-generals of military operations from both countries had agreed on the ceasefire during their weekly telephone call.
The ceasefire applies both to the Line of Control dividing disputed Kashmir and to the Siachen Glacier to the north.
