India, Pakistan begin trade talks on Tuesday

New Delhi - India and Pakistan begin two days of talks here on Tuesday to push bilateral economic cooperation even as merchandise trade between the two countries is set to cross the $500-million mark for the first time this fiscal.

The talks come close on the heels of a historic agreement between the two countries on a Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service and a 50-day India tour from February 28 by Pakistan's cricket team for six one day internationals and a three-Test series.
