Lancaster moves to protect trees

Lancaster County, NB - Add Lancaster County to the list of Charlotte-area jurisdictions that are moving toward protecting their trees from clear-cutting by developers.

The county planning commission has proposed a requirement that at least 20 percent of the tree canopy in new subdivisions be preserved. County Council will take up the proposal at its next meeting April 24.
