Levitating magnet provides clean energy?

Scientists are one step closer to developing a process which mimics the sun's output of energy following a series of experiments involving the levitation of a half tonne magnet.

The Levitated Dipole Experiment (LDX) aims to reproduce the magnetic fields of the Earth and other planets, with the potential to be developed as a new way of creating power-producing plants based on nuclear fusion.
