Low-alcohol wine ‘reduces cancer risk’

Wine drinkers could reduce their risk of developing bowel cancer just by switching to a lower-alcohol alternative, a cancer charity has suggested.

However, the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) claims that people who drink a large glass (250ml) of wine every day could cut their bowel cancer risk by approximately 7% through switching from wine with an alcohol content of 14% to one with 10%.
