McGrath honoured for saving climber’s life

Kathmandu, Nepal - Sudbury's Meagan McGrath has been honoured for her role in saving a climber in trouble near the summit of Mount Everest.

McGrath, an aerospace engineer with the Canadian Forces, was coming down after scaling the 8,850-metre mountain when she came across Bista, who was suffering from cerebral edema, or swelling of the brain, which can be fatal if left untreated at a high altitude.
