New Blending Rules Put Oomph in German Biodiesel

Hamburg, Germany - German output of biodiesel fuel made from rapeseed should move into the fast lane this year due to new regulations permitting blending with conventional diesel, the head of a trade association said on Tuesday.

This has opened up an enormous new market for Germany's biodiesel industry, which has struggled because mainstream oil companies still decline to sell pure biodiesel at their petrol stations.
