Over 800 New Insect Species Found in Tibet
Tibet - It is reported that over 800 new species of insects have been found in Tibet.
It is said that because of the unique landforms, wide gap in altitude, distinctive and varied types of climate and the characteristics of vegetation and insects in terms of systems and adaptability to evolution, about one-fourth of the over 4,200 insect species found in Tibet are peculiar to the region.
