Palestinian breakthrough on unity government |
Mecca, Saudi Arabia - Rival Palestinian factions have agreed at crunch talks in Mecca on who would hold ministries in an eventual government of national unity, but remained at odds over policy towards Israel.
Saudi King Abdullah invited the Palestinian leaders, including exiled Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal, to Mecca in a bid to end the deadliest internecine violence in the Palestinian territories in years.
