Rare Trout Returns to Woodiebrook

Munson, Ohio - A strain of wild brook trout native to Ohio is reproducing once again in the cold, clear waters of Woodiebrook, a small stream in Geauga County.

The trout, returned to Woodiebrook after an extensive habitat restoration project, demonstrated reproductive success during a stream survey late last summer, said Andy Burt, a fisheries biologist from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife.
