Saving a baby: With faith and fortitude, a student helps an infant get surgery

Detroit, Michigan, USA - Enraptured by the stories of missionaries, Mallery Thurlow grew up wanting to be one.

In that moment, the 20-year-old Cornerstone University student made a life-altering connection with one of the many babies born into poverty in Haiti. She vowed to help little Rosie -- whatever it took.
