Saving Sierra Leone’s Chimps

Hunting and habitat destruction has led to a drastic reduction in Sierra Leone's chimpanzee population in recent decades.

The government outlawed their capture and killing last month, and declared a one-month amnesty during which people keeping a chimp as a pet must hand it over to authorities.
