Scotland targets fly-tippers

Scotland - The Scottish Executive has announced funding of more than ?1m that will be dedicated to combating the environmental blight of fly-tipping, as part of its continuous green improvement.

"The number of calls to the Forum's hotline confirms that the Scottish public is fed up with people illegally dumping their rubbish,? said Environment Minister Ross Finnie.

"Fly-tipping is a national eyesore that blights many communities and we are determined to stamp it out. This substantial funding further enforces our commitment to clean up Scotland's environment," he added.
