Share your status – and your lungs. Facebook tool promotes organ donation

Facebook on Tuesday unveiled an initiative to use the vast social network to connect organ donors with people who need life-saving transplants.

Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg described widespread acceptance of organ donation as "a shift in society that will probably take a while to fully take hold" until more Facebook users start sharing their experiences.
"But I think that if people choose to share these stories with their friends, that can make a big difference over time."
