A bill that encourages construction of new homes that make cost-effective use of solar energy passed through the House unanimously on an initial voice vote this afternoon.
Ushered in by State Representative Michael Merrifield (D-El Paso), this key jobs bill allows for “Solar Ready Homes,” and will expand new energy and clean technology jobs in this rapidly growing sector.
