Spain Government Approves EUR2.37 Billion Plan To Lower Carbon Emissions

Madrid, Spain - Spain's government approved Friday a plan to spend EUR2.37 billion in a push to lower carbon dioxide emissions in the country between 2008 and 2012, focusing on the manufacturing, transport, and construction sectors.

The government is looking to lower emissions by the country's power sector by 36% annually during 2008-2012, as part of its national allocation plan.
