Thousands celebrate Saskatchewan’s birthday

Regina - Under a bright blue Prairie sky, thousands of revellers took to the sun-baked grounds of the Saskatchewan Legislature yesterday for a centennial party aimed at launching the province into its next century.

It was an event steeped in tradition, with RCMP officers in red serge and first nations dancers in colourful ancestral costumes.
