Transmission Towers Transformed Into Landscape Monuments
The Land of Giants is an innovative design concept that uses transmission towers as the base resource for design. Conceived by Choi + Shine Architects, the project recently won the 2010 Boston Society of Architects Award.
Under the project, the architects created a set of towers by modifying the traditional design of electrical pylons (or transmission towers, as they are commonly called) to imitate human figures in different postures.
