UK will match Gates vaccines cash, says Brown
London, England - Gordon Brown, the UK's chancellor of the exchequer (finance minister), will promise to more than match a second $750m donation from Bill Gates, Microsoft creator, for a fund to support vaccines in developing countries.
Sweden is expected shortly to make a contribution to Gavi and France is also thought to be considering a donation. Norway gave $290m on Monday to coincide with the Gates donation.
