Upper Mississippi River Levels Adjusted for Fish, Wildlife

St. Paul, MN - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, in cooperation with the Water Level Management Task Force of the River Resources Forum, plans on implementing a drawdown of Pool 5 on the Upper Mississippi River for the benefit of fish and wildlife this summer.

Scientists and river managers have been studying the effects of pool drawdowns on the Upper Mississippi River and believe this technique holds promise for improving fish and wildlife habitat.
