Vattenfall to invest 40 mln eur in ‘emissions-free’ power plant in Germany
Berlin, Germany - The Swedish electricity producer Vattenfall said it is to invest 40 mln eur in the world's first carbon dioxide 'emissions-free' power station.
The 'emissions-free' power stations will burn coal with a mixture of oxygen and steam, which will allow them to isolate the carbon dioxide and store it instead of releasing it into the atmosphere.
