Volunteer spirit motivates students

Clemson, SC - After a week on the hurricane-ravaged Mississippi coast, Clemson University junior Tim Strickland wants to spread the word about the needs he saw.

Instead of partying on the beach, Strickland is one of thousands of college students who chose to do community service work over spring break. He returned to campus inspired by the perseverance of Gulf Coast residents he'd met and driven to do more.
