Walmart steps up and donates 12,000 pounds of food to Treasure Coast Food Bank
About 9,000 meals will be provided to residents of the Treasure Coast this holiday season thanks to one of the nation’s largest stores.
Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, through Feeding America, a national hunger-relief charity, gave 12,000 pounds of food on Tuesday and a refrigerated truck worth $85,000 last week to the Treasure Coast Food Bank, which serves about 150 agencies in Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.
